Model/Photographer takes third at DVXFest
This six-minute short film serves as a prelude to a larger project, ELOQUENT GRAFFITI. It was recently honored at DVXFest as a third place finalist. Sabi Filmmaker, Zak Forsman, was also given a “Special Appreciation” award by the festival director and Filmmaker Magazine will be covering the unique manner in which it was shot in an upcoming article and interview.

Myself, Daniel Carmody, Jamie Cobb, Matt Garrett and actors Mary Elise Hayden and Dusty Sorg have our first cast and crew meeting to further develop the short film and choose character names. Whenever possible, I like to let actors pick their character names to help build a sense of ownership. More and more, these characters will become less mine and less Dan’s, and truly owned and defined by Dusty and Mary Elise.

Eloquent Graffiti – Podcast Three – Daniel Carmody
met with Daniel Carmody. after a prior discussion where I threw all my ideas at him, he went home for the weekend and began writing, fueled by eight cups of espresso. he had issues with what he’d developed on his own and I made some suggestions that seemed to stick. two characters, one young woman, one young man. she is pretty well defined. he, not so much. but tonight, Daniel and I found we are on the same page in how we want to shape this story. so it’s official. we’re writing the screenplay together.
